I strongly agree. Sometimes on here and on Reddit, I see people will vent about feeling scared of their Sexual Orientation Ocd thoughts and unfairly, they instantly get labeled as "homophobic." Or someone will vent about their Ocd obsessions around feeling uncomfortable with certain sexual situations like hookup culture or feeling uncomfortable flirting with multiple people at a time, and commenters who are into those things, somehow take that as a personal attack and act annoyed and defensive in the comments against the person just wanting to innocently seek help lol. And I've even seen commenters try to peer pressure those people into conforming to their views. People really need to accept that everyone is different, we all suffer from different Ocd themes, and not everyone is comfortable doing all the same actions that you would. We are individuals. We have different lifestyles, experiences, and mindsets. So if someone isn't comfortable doing something, we should just respect that and let them be, ya know?

@😢😢😢 Do you mind sharing what makes you feel like you might actually be one ? Or what what’s making it so difficult for you to distinguish OCD and real ? If not it’s okay. But I wanted to say that I deal with POCD as well and although it’s true ERP has proven to be the most effective treatment although by far the most uncomfortable one. There are some ways you could alleviate some of the burden. I hesitated on seeking help for over a year for similar reasons, I haven’t gotten to the part where I do ERP regarding POCD (I still feel anxious about the day) but I’m doing it regarding other stuff. Educating myself on the ways POCD can manifest on the mind and body was helpful. Learning how OCD causes the false sense of uncertainty and the discomfort regardless of how you actually feel was also important. Learning about hyper body sensitivity was HUGE cause that one was tough to get over but I was able to without ERP. Also there self help tools here if you ever wanna try on your own at your own pace, although I suggest using an app like chat gpt to give you some pointers on how to use it.

I just wanted to let you know, even though I'm new here and this is my first comment/post ever, that I understand how you feel. I get the not having support or resources, etc.

I feel like it’s been helpful for the most part although I’ve seen some stuff here but nothing too bad. There was only one occasion where I actually got into a back and forth with someone regarding POCD. And to be fair the posts I see the most are, ROCD, HOCD, POCD and harm ocd. Maybe try adjusting your filters ? Not sure if that would help
