memory lane, not reassurance seeking, just curious

when you guys go to memory lane and remember when you were very very little your interaction with other friends, do you guys experience a feeling of equality in maturity with the other triggers while remembering their interactions? like you become a child again and remember the way you felt and perceived an interaction with a trigger. if so is that normal? i don't really like it, it bothers me, but if that's supposed to happen i guess ill just move on.

I think it’s natural to look back on things when we were kids and still have the same feelings as we did then if that’s what you’re asking. For a lot of folks who might have been bullied it’s a feeling of helplessness and now that we’re older and looking back, we’re just as helpless because we can’t turn the clock back and change it. So yes, I would very much consider it an OCD trigger point pending on the experiences that you had as a child. Not sure if that answers your question but that was the best I could interpret it.

nice interpretation! but i was like talking in a literal sense. because i was rememembering an interaction with a girl when i was a child and i still remembered and perceived a sort of equality feeling that should not have been there. like i remembered how i reacted and felt, and i was disturbed that i still could in the memory. maybe it's because im putting myself in the past me's shoes. i remember the kid me talking with a girl who said that she studied at home n*ked and i remember feeling flustered because for the kid me that was like i guess attractive, and im bothered that when i remembered it, i could perceive in a distanced way those type of perspective and thoughts, also a normalized equal perception of the girl through the lenses of the young me. I dont know how to explain. but im very bothered that it has been stuck in my mind since yesterday. i hope it's something normal so i can move on. while i was typing this ocd immediately started creating intrusive images in the back lol.
