@Illyas Yes , at first I felt like the most horrible person in the word , because I'm a mom and my ocd was targeting my kids , I let the thoughts to be there it was hard but with time it got easy . Plus I started medication and therapy

@Anonymous Ohh got it, I’m new to POCD tbh, and it happened while I was being intimate with myself, then of course I decided to do Erp to continue with it ya know, I’ve had it happened before but never really affect me. Until 2 days ago when i did exactly the same ignore the thoughts and continue but goddamn it got me, cuz I feel guilty for doing exposure. Did u feel the same way??

@Illyas Yes , you need to keep doing your exposure and with time it will go away

@Anonymous Got it, that’s what I did last time and it seemed like it made it worse, which I don’t understand cuz I always did it before and never got me, probably cuz it got me very vulnerable….

@Illyas Something a learn in therapy is , that ocd get worse during the exposure, but with time it get less difficult until the thoughts don't cause you any distress

@Anonymous Thank you so much, I have beat this before- 6 years without a relapse and now I’m Perimenopausal it’s all come back, (hormones are my trigger) the normal POCD crap I have to deal with- sleepwalking fear and harming my little son and not knowing or remembering- it’s crippled me for a month but I HAVE to do something to get through this 😔
