This morning and throughout the night when I would wake up I had really vile thoughts and I think they involved my brother. And im worried i thought them on purpose. I keep purposefully thinking about intamicy with my bf to.compqre the two thoughts to figure out if I did or not. Or even if I liked it or got gratification out of it. Im just confused.
that's called "resolving the dilemma" which you mustn't do! so, you thought something (because that's what ocd does), you felt "something", and you continue as if nothing happened... you have to, it's all part of ocd! you are not alone
it was just really disgusting and I feel like I need to know that it wasnt a fantasy
@ran_0fff and that "I have to know", that keeps OCD going! the answer doesn't exist, but as long as you "want to solve it", the deeper you will go into it! Trust me, I know what you're going through, and that's a textbook example of OCD! Just don't try to explain it, because you'll never be able to! If you have an answer that suits you, it won't last long, and sometimes you'll get a different answer, because you're so focused on it, and your brain starts to "act"! train yourself!
@Anonimus ME 🦋 its bc if any other person had the thought of what i thought they would be a predator and im just so weirded out that my brain can even think these things.

@ran_0fff it's like that for all of us! trust me! try to listen to me..just try! you have ocd, it's such a disease! you have the same symptoms as 90% of people, that these topics, even people without ocd, have such thoughts, they just don't attach importance to them

@ran_0fff how they don't? I have it too, and a lot of people here, and there are also people who don't have ocd, they just don't have ocd, so they don't attach importance to it

@Anonimus ME 🦋 but there have been times where it felt like i did maybe, like im losing control or turning into someone else. I've also noticed when im relaxed I purposefully think things for no reason then start questioning myself or why I did it.
@ran_0fff I know..when we are in something for too long, the brain has a constant focus and loses the repulsive feelings because it has gotten used to it. And what you deliberately imagine is "solving the dilemma", you have to turn it off, and not react to those thoughts and images in any way. Just ignore them no matter how hard it is, and it's damn hard, but it gets easier over time. Do you take medicine? are you going to therapy

@ran_0fff me neither, but they help you at least calm yourself down enough to have some insight into it...how old are you? how long have you had OCD?

@ran_0fff I have a lot more, but I've had it since I was 16, with breaks...I didn't always take medicine, but try everything to help yourself. You deserve to live beautifully and to the fullest
i don't understand why this had yo happen to me and why its even a thing.
