@777Q I’m curious tho. I see you’re a Christian. Wouldn’t those truths not hold because in your world view. Life doesn’t end?

@Kaizen. You make a very interesting question. I feel to a degree it is open to some interpretation. With that said both phrases can be applied through out most religions . Like I reference this as far as life here on earth as a finite amount of time . As far as afterlife, heaven , hell and so on that is on a different playing field sorta speak . Many people that have followed those phrases cut across many different religious and secular worldviews.

@777Q Very fair way of putting it. I do think it is up to slight interpretation. seeing as From a abrahamic type religions point of view. “Life” ends. And a “new” life begins. Which still entails life ending. I think about these things sometime. I like to think of myself as agnostic. Anyways all that said I’ve been thinking about it. not only am I not perfect but I’ve struggled with lying before too. I do want to forgive her. The hardest part out of all of this is just the numb feeling. Or the feeling that this is wrong for me. Which I know isn’t true

@Kaizen. It’s great that you know your values :) If you trust her right now and you have some insight that you wanna be with her, that’s the most important part. You’re completely right that Ocd adds so much doubt, numbs our feelings, and makes us confused about what we want. I’ve been there too. What I will say is that ERP therapy will reduce how strong those Ocd intrusions feel. You’ll be able to regain more clarity about things once you’re more recovered. What also helps is to have faith in your own strength and resilience. First, have hope that things will work out with your girlfriend. And if something ever unfortunately doesn’t work out, trust that you can handle that experience too, just like all the other problems you’ve overcome in your life. Everything works out in the end. You’ve made it this far, keep going 🫶
