You’re not weird. Your thoughts are normal, you just accidentally paid extra attention to the wrong thoughts because they grossly contradicted your identity/ or moral compass. Everyone gets weird thoughts. Just somehow realise that your thoughts are not you, your thoughts are a tool for you to use. Do not get frustrated because you cannot achieve this instantly. You have not lost your old self either, you are still there underneath all of your thoughts. You are the one getting distressed. The thoughts are not distressed, you are distressed. Therefore you are not your thoughts.
