I’m scared I don’t have hocd and they’ll just tell me I’m gay and have to be with a women when I don’t want to be.

@annehatesocd If you are 17 you may need to wait until you turn 18, due to CA law and NOCD therapy protocols. Will you be 18 soon?

Are you going through ERP therapy with a OCD specialist therapist? That is the key to getting better and making HOCD’s hell go away.

Omg you read my mind THIS IS HOW I HAVE FELT ALL DAY AND I HAVE HAD ENOUGH I’m like “wow life would be going to good but you’re a lesbian” (that sounds so bad and I’m not homophobic, my best friend is bi) but do you have thoughts like that too??

@annehatesocd If you knew ERP would most likely get you better and make your OCD pain go away in 8-12 weeks, out of curiosity, why wouldn’t you see an OCD therapist with speciality training in ERP?

@Sms-NOCD I don’t know if I actually have ocd. I have been diagnosed but I sometimes feel like I don’t. And my mind is just like “all of this is stupid.” And I don’t want the erp specialist to be like “I can’t treat you.” And it’s really expensive and my parents won’t pay for it (I’m 17) :(

Yes actually! My first appt is tomorrow with an erp specialist and I’m also scared because she specializes in sexuality as well and I really don’t want her to be like well you sound like you’re gay. Or at the end of erp realize I was in denial all along and I don’t want either of those things. I’m so scared but excited to get better at the same time. I just don’t want to lose my bf at the end of this because if I “realize” maybe I was in denial. Ugh so scary.
