Sensiomotor OCD - breathing hyperfixation
It kept me awake all night I went to bed at 00:00 and actually slept st 3:30 and I had to wake ui at 6:30 today. It’s been horrible I keep manually breathing I’m genuinely gonna have another anxiety attack. At night time there are no distractions and I tend to hyper fixate on my breathing and I tried listening to an ocd podcast or just putting the phone away entirely for hours and drinking water and wearing comfy clothes but nothing seems to actually help. I can’t bring myself to think rationally at night because I’m all alone and it’s dark and that triggers my core ocd fear more of losing control of anything, (here it’s breathing). I absolutely hate this and I don’t know what to do. It’s so hard to think rationally but I don’t wanna manually breathe anymore at night or in the day, or any day I hate it. I wish it could come and go away. Does anyone have any tips or is going through this?
