@overthinker Movies and TV are my thing. I’m watching a movie called Time Freak. It’s an okay movie, it has Sophie Turner from Game of Thrones whom I love.

@twicedouble oh okay, i’ve never seen game of thrones, is it any good?

@overthinker Game of Thrones is perhaps my favorite TV show ever. It’s slow in the beginning but it picks up. The ending wasn’t particularly satisfying but it could have been worse.

@twicedouble oh okay, i might start watching it then, but i’m in the middle of watching the tv show you. have you seen it?

@overthinker I watched a bit. I couldn’t get my thoughts to slow down so I’m watching TED Talks.

@twicedouble what do you mean?
- Date posted
- 5y
@overthinker I have racing thoughts. Makes it hard to focus on TV or movies.
- Date posted

@twicedouble oh okay, what about? unless you don’t want to talk about it
- Date posted
- 5y
@overthinker I’m an open book. I have no problem talking about it. Essentially my thinking goes into overdrive and I have many overlapping or contradictory thoughts all at once. The most common one is having a song stuck in my head. That alone wouldn’t be bad, but I’m also worrying about various things. I’ll practice conversations, think about what I’m doing next, talking with people, etc. all at once.

@twicedouble that sounds mentally and psychically exhausting. i’m sorry about that
- Date posted

@overthinker It is. I only just learned that racing thoughts isn’t typical. I always thought that my mind only raced when I was anxious. But I showed a video to a friend about racing thoughts and she said it made her anxious.

@twicedouble oh. i’m really sorry you have to go through that, do you find that sleep is an escape, or is there something you do when you’re awake to calm your thoughts?
- Date posted

@overthinker I have a hard time sleeping so I have prescribed sleeping pills. But the only other way I can quiet them is with weed.
- Date posted
- 5y
@twicedouble oh okay, i’ve never tried anything like weed, i feel like sleep is the only time i’m truly relaxed. i don’t like the idea of anything to do with ddugs

@overthinker I can understand that. Do you object to medicine too? Or just traditional drugs?
- Date posted
- 5y
@twicedouble i don’t usually take medication unless i absolutely have to, i like to think i can do things without the help of drugs
- Date posted
- 5y
@overthinker *nods* I definitely need the extra help. I do very poorly without them.

@twicedouble me too, but i force myself to deal with it

@overthinker That’s good. Unfortunately what I’m taking is for BPD and not so much for OCD.
- Date posted
- 5y
@twicedouble oh, why don’t you take something that is good for ocd too?
- Date posted
- 5y
@overthinker Because my psychiatrist believed that BPD was the more pressing issue and that OCD is just a response to it.

@twicedouble oh okay, i hope you get better

i’m currently experiencing a panicky anxiety attack and i don’t know why. i’ve been on edge all day because of being scared to get sick, but right now, i know i’m not going to get sick but i’m just really panicked and cannot calm down. i’m currently listening to music that helps relax me with an icepack on my neck to help, but not much is happening. my sister and mom keep coming into my room and it’s only making it worse but i don’t know why. i just don’t want to talk or be around anyone right now. these kinds of episodes are worse than any other because i don’t know why i’m so scared. it just feels like it’s never going to go away.

I just found out today that a family friend will be staying over at my house (I live with my parents) for a night. And I have contamination ocd and that’s causing me anxiety. I fear that her being here will contaminate my home, which is like my safe place. It’s hard just sitting with the anxiety. I want this day to be over! Does anyone have anything to support me? Thanks

i’ve had pretty bad anxiety since about 10 tonight (it’s 2 am rn). i started really worrying because my head wouldn’t stop hurting even after i took a nap and two advil. then my stomach was hurting. then i took two more advil because my head kept going. then because i was worrying so bad i went into my mom’s room and she gave me a zofran. then i lied in there, watching the notebook to try and distract myself. and that started working and i started feeling better. but then i got hit with a second wave of anxiety, making me think i was gonna get sick even though i took a zofran. and i’m still dealing with it rn and can’t stop panicking. i have an ice pack on my neck to help alleviate the anxiety along with my heating pad and a movie playing on my computer. right now i’m freaking myself into having food poisoning. it just sucks when my nights are spent like this and i can’t get out of it.
