@ocdear frrrr like it’s not helping, you’re just feeding it what it wants. And then you feel bad if you offended them and then the obsession goes even crazier

Couldn’t agree more!! I’ve relapsed unfortunately it’s hard enough as it is the the mind is that powerful to make something feel so real, I can’t stop checking to see if I feel anything and it’s gotten to the point I don’t even know and I hate it, im in a loving relationship and have been straight all my life! We are all in this fight together... it may seem real now but it’s not forever! ERP will help us it’s just hard!

They might be trying to trigger you intentionally because that’s what ERP is about.

Agreed! Even though that's the last thing they want right now.

That’s what I’m saying you need to do ERP... I’ve known my whole life I was straight and I have many Gay friends who I love and wouldn’t change but that’s personally not for me.. everyone deals with HOCD differently, I’m glad to hear you’re doing a lot better!

@okaaaylisa I’ve been doing ERP since this morning (when it spiked) and it has actually relieved me abit! But you need to keep it up, even though it’s horrible it actually helps!

You can’t hide behind OCD. Now not saying you are LGBT/Striggt. But it sounds like you’re using OCD as an compulsion to not face your fears. Before you say otherwise, yes I have SOOCD. I am doing hell of a lot better once I accepted the possibility(important word)of it happening. Just like I accept the possibility of me dying tomorrow in a car accident, or getting cancer, etc

i’m not hiding behind OCD wtf. you don’t know the half of what i’ve been through so don’t say that i’m using it as a compulsion. i know what my compulsions are and me telling my self “it’s the ocd” isn’t one of them. this is why i’m saying if you don’t get it, don’t say anything

@ocdear Lol. Dude I have it too. You’re not helping yourself by not accepting the thoughts. Once you “normalize” them you ll won’t be as anxious ( or combative as you are here). Accepting doesn’t mean you are what your thoughts say you are.

@Jay69420 i know how to deal with this. all i did was express a view that i see all the time of people telling people with HOCD to just “accept themselves and that’s they’re in denial” i see it on youtube, on reddit on HERE and i’m fucking sick of it so i don’t know why you feel the need to act like you know what i’m going through when you don’t. you don’t even ask me you just assume and i don’t appreciate that at all

@ocdear So what are you going to do about it? Yell into the void of the internet? Just try accept it and move on. You seem to be ignoring the fact that I am telling you I have SOOCD too. It has taken me over a year to get so normalcy into my life. I accepted that there’s is a chance I maybe something other than 100 percent straight, and I’m okay with it. Being mindful of the present, I am straight. But just like I don’t know if I’m going to die in the next hour, I don’t know if I’ll identify as that in a decade or whatever. And you should be okay with that. You should be okay with uncertainty.
