You aren’t in denial but in conflict. OCD has you in a thought trap so deep that it seems real. I would only get this when I would smoke weed which is why I stopped. I just really grounded myself and assed my life and told myself that I’m in control. I know what I want. My OCD doesn’t control anything. I realize my anxiety is just conspiracy theories about myself. Stressed is also right. If you feed into the OCD it will cause an even bigger flame and you don’t want that because that isn’t you. I have a book recommendation for you that will sooooo help, trust me. It’s called Overcoming Unwanted Intrusive Thoughts: A CBT-Based Guide to Getting Over Frightening, Obsessive, Or Disturbing Thoughts Book by Martin N. Seif and Sally M. Winston Please please please please read this. I can’t emphasize this enough. It explains what your brain is going through so you know and understand it. When you understand the nuts and bolts 999, you will conquer this!!!

Why is this book so good? Could you please elaborate why it is worth buying? Maybe I should too.

@Stressed It breaks the science of the mind and brain down so smoothly and in such a comforting way. It showed me what’s going on. Why is this happening and what tools will help for me to use in the long run. It’s also written by people who know what they are talking about and have did major research. Another thing is, it explains to the thoughts and even gives dialogue examples between the different tones we use in our head when we encounter crazy and draining thoughts. They call them False Comfort, Worried Voice, and Wise Mind (I could be wrong but it’s along those lines). I loved the dialogue because it again, shows the mechanics of the arguments we have with ourselves when we encounter distress from OCD. It was a game changer and confidence booster for me. I really recommend it.

@Stressed If I remember correctly yes. That’s the point of the book. To inform us. To calm us down and let us know what all the hub bub is about. You should really get it.

999 - you’re not alone. Even if you tried that and you probably wouldn’t like it, your ocd would start telling you that maybe if it was with a different woman I would like it. It would never end so that is not the right answer.

No,this will only make it worse because then you will have thoughts of regret and guilt and doubts all over again whether you liked it or not.Do the opposite of what ocd tell you,so nothing, just let it spread its liez and do nothing. It will lose its power and die.
