Hi how are you doing?:) I also have HOCD. Let me tell you the anxiety will get better! Mindfulness and exposure are big factors in recovery:) A technique that has been helping me a lot is mindfulness:) just accept those stupid thoughts and move on. No matter how real they seem. I promise you the thoughts will make you less anxious and when the anxiety goes so does the thoughts. It just takes time:)

Hey Cameron! I also suffer with HOCD and I'm just wondering how long did you do mindfulness and exposure until the anxiety and thoughts just go?

@Jayro Hello!:) let’s take out the word suffering. You are not suffering it’s just a stupid little problem:) I recommend having a positive mindset. I’m only 16 and my hormones and emotions are crazy but being positive and loving yourself is huge in recovery. I still get intrusive thoughts and am not recovered fully but I don’t mind:) I know I’ve gotten better and my anxiety has lessened and I have very good days more than bad days. It takes some time and practice to get these techniques down but once you do and you don’t fight your ocd and you face thag stupid fear (notice how I label it stupid....cause it is!:)) once the anxiety is decreasing your thoughts will come less:) just remember to be positive during this:) there are 200 million people just like you:) look your asking for help that’s a huge step!:)

@Jayro OFC!!! DUDE you’re not alone in this fight. If you want man we can check on each other everyday man until this is over wirh! If you believe in god or not this world has a plan for you and this is just an obstacle to test your strength! Normal people can’t do it but the people like us with this stupid problem arw stronger!

I do believe in God and I believe that everything will be alright! But I know that if I don't do anything about this and I just do the compulsions and give in to the thoughts, I would just fall deeper into these thoughts. We can do this!

@Jayro We can just use this app:) it’s not problem! I’m going to send out messages in the morning of positivity:) so we can talk under that section :) super excited for you man! Nothing like killing a stupid monster:) WE GOT THIS!!

Hey man, I'm doing alright. Thoughts still come in waves but I do what I gotta do. This day just feels like one of those days where I don't really feel like fighting the thoughts? I guess a day where I just feel tired about everything? I will fight through this though no matter what. How are you?
