What about the spikes? Ya know when you think you are doing well & the next thing an article or TV programme brings you down the rabbit hole if thoughts, checking & reasurrance? My therapist once said to me that sometimes someone can have dormant feelings that come out, so to speak, years later? That freaks me out so much as if the life I previously had was a lie. I just can't understand how a single thought three years ago, pops into my head and now it seems to control my life.

Yeah sometimes I get freaked out or triggered like earlier. However, rarely anything triggers me. It's like I don't care anymore but I really do care. The feelings is odd but once you get to this phase, you'll understand. It's a big relief but at the same time, your thoughts are still there and can be convincing sometimes.

Dude.. This article literally is me. What the hell. The phrase that sometimes you will see the true color of the wall but quickly the memory faids and you're left again with the thoughts, is very cool. I could not have described better..

@takingmylifeback I've been suffering from hocd for 2 years now. And this article described it the best I've ever read. It's crazy how accurate some of the things are described.

Since you're in the bored phase, do you feel like you are your thoughts sometimes? And feel unbothered and bothered at the same time even if you don't have anxiety.

@hocd sucks no haha. I know 100% that it is not me and just OCD. Yet I still have mental compulsions and they’re all mostly avoiding ones. I feel like I’m almost free yet I’m being held back

@hocd sucks hey man, the same goes for me. I'm starting to go back to believe that I am actually really gay. But this time, I'll try to hold back all the compulsions and just accept the thought. I will not convince myself of anything but I will just accept this. Just for a change.

Feel like my OCD is edging into the bored stage now. More and more I find myself in moments where the thoughts really don’t bother me. It’s becoming easier to separate my thoughts from my actual sexual desires. However, I’m having problems with sleep now, once I sleep for a lil I’m woken up by high anxiety and bare thoughts. Sometimes I’m just attacked by anxiety like something is wrong. Any tips on how you dealt with this particular issue? And thanks for that article really gave me a lot of confidence today.

@sam_ob Music is really helpful for me & watching comedies. I have to get out of bed sometimes as the anxiety is so high but its always at night it is worse.

Yep it really does suck but I suppose I really thought that it might phase out over time but I guess that doubt still lingers & doesn't go away. Thanks for your help!
