Yes! I have TOCD and HOCD. I also know 4 other girls who do and we have a Snapchat group chat if you’d wanna join? We made it as we could all relate to eachother. No worries if not though :)

This is probably too late to respons and not sure if you still have this group chat but is there any way you all are still running this support chat? I am still struggling with this theme after all this time and it's been incredibly isolating.

@KaelynLe i’m really sorry but i don’t think my advice will be very helpful. our group chat was pretty compulsive with all of us reassuring eachother so we never really equipped ourselves with the proper tools to tackle it. if you’d like to vent on this thread you’re more then welcome and i’ll happily hear you out though!

I also would add that I think TOCD distinguishes itself from being transgender because a transgender person finds discomfort from not being the gender they feel they are inside. They feel good about the thought of transitioning and it doesnt scare them but rather -provides them a sense of hope for the future. OCD often provides feelings of nothing but fear, doubt, and despair. Strangely, enough, I also developed what I feel to be transgender ocd after the sexual orientation ocd, despite always being comfortable with my femininity (I'm a girl) and even as I grew older being comfortable with feeling somewhat feminine and somewhat masculine, as I believe we all are in varying ways. When one theme ramps up the other subsides and vice versa. It makes sense because they both have to do with essential facets of our identity. Our mind will use both subjects to seek answers within ourselves about who we are.
