I feel for you. This happens to me on a daily basis and even more graphic than what you described. It also invloves kids I know and care about. You can make it ☺. What were you planning on doing with your day before this happened?

Honestly nothing was having a chill day. Hadn't slept so was gonna take a nap and before I went to sleep that just popped in my head. I can't remember the thought now but I'm thinking it was my girlfriends body with the girls face. Has happened a few times. Been away from her for 3 months but I hate myself for even seeing that. And then I over thought it all day and feel horrible

I have severe dyslexia and dyspraxia other than that nothing. But I have suspected. I looked online about why I might have had that thought and it brought me here.

Wow! You've likely saved yourself years of suffering. Wish I would've known what I know now at 35 when I was a teenager. Well played sir. You can get relatively cheap therapy through the app depending on where you live.

Understandable. What would you like to do for the rest of your day? What would be a healthy choice? Not will the goal to get the thought out of your head, because it probably won't work, but to live your values.

Well it's night currently but tomorrow I'd like to get some coursework done and talk to me girlfriend. Was like a 10 second thought and has been bothering me all day.

Have not thought about anything like this ever in my entire life and am ashamed. No arousal to it just pure disgust. Mainly thoughts of why would I think that and what did I think

Honestly before 30 mins ago I'd never heard of POCD so no. I just looked online to see why that thought entered my head. I've never thought of sexual acts with children or well anything involving children. Just my gf.

Haha well things bother me until I deal with them so it was either look it up or keep it in and try to forget which hardly works. Yeah unfortunately I'm in the UK so the therapy stuff doesn't work on the app

Yeah, I live in an area where the therapy isn't available yet too. While a traditional therapist isn't ideal, they can at least be supportive if they're willing to learn about the disorder. Also, if you like podcasts there's a great one called the OCD Stories. It's weekly and based out if the UK.

Ah I'll give it a try. Actually talking about it here has just really helped me. It was a single thought lasting 5 seconds and I've over obsessed and over thought it all day. Time to stop. The more I think about it the more itll bother me and the more I'll hate myself.
