I’ve thought that too “the thought of losing him and having to be with a woman”. That’s the thought that gets me obsessing. Underneath that thought is the fear of loss. I have a terrifying fear of losing my boyfriend so that’s why these thoughts come up. OCD is a trickster and a liar. It takes the things we care about most and twists it to make us question. One thing I’ve learned is to submit and stop trying to control my thoughts. Deeeeeep down we know who we are, yet OCD is throwing us these curveballs that feel threatening to who we are. Also facing your fear is a good thing too. You can write it down, in detailed form, and then read and reread until your anxiety diminishes about 50%. Face your fear. Use the fear hierarchy on this app :) There is no arguing with your mind, it’s a battle you will never win, so stop playing the game. If your mind asks you a question...you don’t have to answer back. :) your mind will try to get you to answer, but never give in. It takes practice but you can do it!! Just submit. Submitting doesn’t mean your thoughts are true, it’s just giving up the control. Show yourself grace, be kind to yourself and love your fiancé hard. You don’t be like this forever, you are stronger than you think :) Sunshine1: Yaaaaaas girlll so glad you conquered this! I too wished my theme would change, but the thing is underneath all of these themes is that we all have OCD. This was encouraging to read.

I am with you. I know how you feel. I have had this OCD on and off for YEARS. This has been the scariest time thus far. I always try to reassure myself that i havent fell in love with a girl yet, so why am I still worried about it. Although i believe thats a mental compulsion. If you love your boyfriend then thats what you know. All these “what ifs”. Let em be. “What if the world ends” we cant plan the future. & we have to learn to live in the moment. Take some vitamins. Drinks lots of water & lower tour caffeine intake. The anxiety will be less & less once you take care of yourself more. We have to let these thoughts pass. & not give em meaning. Once we learn not to attache feeling & emotion to the the thought they will disappear. I have always wished for several years that my OCD theme would change. But i have been stuck on this. But when it goes away( because it has) i am me again. Happy, alive & free! & you will feel the same too. Hang in there. ??
