Of course! So humility is all about being grateful for what you have and decrease your sense of importance. A pattern I’ve noticed is that a large component of OCD is feeling responsible for other people’s well being (whether it’s that you don’t want them sick, hurt, or that you don’t want to harm yourself IN ORDER to be there for them). By becoming more humble, it becomes easier to recognize that you don’t need to be responsible for other people’s well being and that the only actions, thoughts and being you are responsible for is yourself. You can be more humble in a few different ways: recognizing to be grateful for what you have, being able to admit when you’re wrong (and admit when you need help), learning about your faults and becoming more at awe with the world. For that last part, what helped me reconnect was stargazing—it was a great starting point because I was agoraphobic due to OCD and didn’t need to be around people to do it. Like I said, I’ve learned that OCD takes time to overcome. And the humility thing might not fully come into play until there are healthier coping mechanisms developed to the thoughts. I recognize that this post is pretty deep, but I believe in all of you!

Oh! Also a big component of humility with OCD is forgiveness. We beat ourselves up a lot for thinking, so showing some forgiveness towards ourselves can go a long way too
