No of course not! Lexapro didn’t seem to be helping my ocd at all, when the spike started i was going on and off of it, I believe that could’ve triggered it but I am not sure.

are you sure that the lexapro wasn’t helping, and now that you’re off of it your intrusive thoughts are coming back? i don’t know much about it but it seems like when you were on it you were feeling more like yourself and now your ocd is getting ramped up again?

@ssiegel Yeah that is what i mean can Lexapro stop you from feeling and being bisexual?

@Lina nope! i think what you’re experiencing is just your intrusive thoughts coming back because you haven’t been taking the medicine. sexuality is deeply rooted into your chemical makeup, i don’t think there’s any drug that can change that. i’d definitely suggest talking to your doctor before going cold turkey though, that might be why your ocd is starting to pick up again.

@Pure_O_Warrior i think new elements of sexuality can be discovered through experiences and through meeting different people, but it’s all there inside you from the beginning. speaking for me personally, i knew i was into girls (i am also a girl) from a really young age but it depends on the person. :)

Everyone has different experiences with medication. Lexapro works great for me. I tried some other things that didn't work as well, and others have a much different experience. Definitely work with a psychiatrist if you have one available.
