*hug* can you think of a time you've felt like this in the past? What happened then?

I’ve felt a similar sadness before and I remember putting on a film and just crying and it actually made me feel a lot better (it sounds sad Ik haha) but I’m with my parents at the moment and just being round them comforts me a little

@NOCD Advocate - Katie It lessened. At the moment I still feel as hopeless as I did an hour ago but i guess it’s more at the back of my mind if that makes sense?

I'm sorry to hear you're having a particularly tough moment. Try not to assume that this feeling will last forever. You can get stronger ☺.

I just wanna feel like myself again. I know you can’t reassure me but I just felt the need to vent somewhere

Sometimes I feel like it will be with me forever, my ocd. Like I’m treading water everyday. It’s an exhausting feeling, I know! But you’re not alone and life is full of possibilities. Other days I remind myself how far I’ve come and imagine a future for myself that is free of OCD. I believe in you :) believe in the possibility that you possess!

I am so sorry you are going through this. I don’t want to reassure you but the truth is that probably the biggest lie is that you will feel this way forever. This will only be true if you actually believe it. I know you probably just can’t help but believe it, and I know it seems like there’s no way out. I’ve been there. I feel hopeless at least once daily. Try to remember when you get these thoughts either SO-OCD thoughts or negative thoughts like this just treat them the same. “I’m having these thoughts but they aren’t important for me right now. I feel hopeless right now. I need to cry and that’s okay I need this right now” and crying isn’t a bad thing at all. Your feelings are valid. You have a right to feel this way, if you need to cry just keep crying and then I just recommend you take it easy for the rest of the day. Breathe. You will get through this.

You don’t know how much I appreciate that. Thank you. You’re right, crying really did help me and it’s made me feel like my emotions aren’t as bottled up. I was with my friends all day and it was difficult to hold it all in. I hope you’re doing ok too and that we can both get through this. Again, thank you so much for this

@Clementine Aw yeah I’ve been there too. When I’m with my friends sometimes I feel so much anxiety and then all I feel is the need to scream and cry so yes let it all out when you need to! If you need to vent I’ll be here :)
