The issue is neither the content nor your thoughts. The issue is the cycle of ruminating, checking, guessing that you’re engaged in. Being scared is just an emotion. It’s fleeting like all the other emotions we have. Any mindful reading of our daily experience reveals fairly quickly just how our brain throws up a million thoughts a day. Things like, what do I eat? I feel like going outside? Remember that time I laughed on the bus in first grade? Thoughts in and of themselves can only have whatever weight you give them.

Should I try stop thinking about it ? Can you recommend anything to read for ocd ?

@joshua💪 No. You don’t want to try to stop thoughts. That is counterproductive. You want to develop the capacity to have whatever thoughts that appear in your consciousness without falling into compulsions. Here’s a bunch of resources that might help you!
