Being forgetful can be a consequence of anxiety and/or depression :) I never heard of this theme name but you know, themes are just categories we use to make it easier to conceptualize OCD - any fear could become an obsession. What scares you about forgetfulness?

Whenever I forget things I am having a thought that "what if I have memory impairment? Or what if I am having dementia?" Then I'll research online about symptoms or review mentally if I remember events correctly. Sometimes I am having thoughts of urgency to remember exactly certain events or youtube videos I watched or things I did within a certain day.

I see :) I have and had something a little bit similar - like when hurting my head or taking my antidepressants I was having anxiety peaks thinking that I may forget too many things and have amnesia. What you describe is a obsession-compulsion cycle so you need to try to cut compulsions as much as you can. Are you in therapy now?

I am not in therapy. Though I really am looking for a therapist. I am not from the US.. I don't think we have clinicians who do ERP here..

I see :) maybe some American therapists might offer therapy for patients abroad? I am not sure, maybe you can check this out at the iocdf website? :) Do you need any self-help resources about OCD?

Many resources are accessible online :) Madeofmillions and Iocdf websites could be a good start :) I love @anxietyocdtreatment and @obsessivelyeverafter Instagram pages as well as Kimberley Quinlan's one . In terms of reading, I read Dr. Penzel's "Obsessive-compulsive disorder, getting well and staying well" which was a great source of knowledge for me, Jeffrey Schwartz's and Jon Hershfield's books are often recommended as well as the book "Overcoming intrusive thoughts" and "Mindfulness for OCD" (maybe you can google authors to check their videos and articles as well :) ). I heard good stuff about "You are not a rock" as well. On YouTube, Mark Freeman and Nathan Peterson's videos are really great, as well as MadeofMillions ones. I hope you'll find some of these resources helpful, take care!!!!! :)
