TMI question for the men in here - have you ever gotten erect or had a groinal response when you were playing with or taking care a kid?

@noone800 When this happened to you, was it before you had POCD?

@figuringitallout No it was after I had POCD, but recently my OCD has been connecting to past events and being like “did you have an erection when you changed that baby’s diaper”

@noone800 Gotcha. That’s very similar to me. It only happened to me a few times years ago but I still obsess over it

@figuringitallout Yeah but I don’t even know if I got an erection, I think my brain is convincing me I did, do you know for sure you got an erection or is your brain telling you that you did?

@noone800 I remember getting it. But didnt you say get them? You mean after?

@figuringitallout Yeah like I only Remeber getting them after my POCD started, but my brain is telling me and tricking me into telling me I’ve gotten them in the past

@figuringitallout I got my first POCD thought around the 7th grade so I don't really remember...

@Ben84 Same. By chance, do you remember if if happened with kids of the same gender or different gender? I remember happening twice with a kid of the same gender and I’m terrified that it means something

@figuringitallout No worries ☺. Now that you ask, I'm not sure. I guess I notice it more with the opposite gender. Ultimately, maybe it means something, maybe it doesn't. Analyzing it probably won't give you a definite answer.

@Ben84 What scared me is that I’m gay and I only remember it happening with a boy (they love to jump and wrestle around more I guess.) but I’m assuming you’re straight? So you’re kind of telling me the same thing. I guess my fear is that it happened with the gender I’m attracted too, if that makes sense

@figuringitallout Yeah, I'm straight. So I get why it's concerning. I've just learned to push through it. In over 15 years I haven't molested a kid, so there's that ☺.
