There's nothing wrong with choosing to spend less, or no, time with someone who routinely leaves you feeling worse. It's a reasonable decision to make. If over time you notice your brain telling you more and more people are a bad influence, there may be a problem.

The thing is... i feel like im a bad person today just by playing with them... or that im becoming a worse person.

@Coul.C I feel like im only feeling worse because of my fear of becoming a bad person if that makes sense?

@Coul.C Then i feel like im making excuses for them... it’s weird. Then when i do something im like is this because i think that they are negatively rubbing off on me? Or would this have been something i would have thought of anyway? I feel like lately I’ve been holding everyone to super high standards including myself and i dont mind holding myself to those standards I’m just scared others might mess me up

@Coul.C I think I understand you. Is it one person you're thinking of distancing yourself from?

@Coul.C What if you tried limiting your contact with this person, as opposed to cutting them off completely. See how that goes first.

@Coul.C Okay ☺. You don't owe this person a relationship. If their negativity hurts your mental health, it's reasonable to limit, or even end, your interaction. If you decide to end this relationship, monitor your mind for going on to someone else. This decision shouldn't lead to habitual ending of relatuonships.

@Coul.C You're welcome. Remember: it's okay to make a mistake. If, over time, you think your decisions aren't working out, you have people who care about you who can help you make adjustments ☺.

@Coul.C Well I care about you for starters ☺. Other people on this app care about you too. Hopefully, you have, or can find, other people in your life who can help you as well.
