Hi I needed a few questions answered. Can someone please help me? I have had OCD for as long as I can remember and im an asexual. I recently developed an obsession that I'm not actually ace. Is this fear common or has anybody experienced it? Also I have homosexual ocd and I fear that I might be L :(. Is this also something anybody has experienced? Or has as an asexual person? I could really use some help atm

Oh thank god! I felt like I was the only irrational ace person to go through SOOCD. Like I'm so paranoid I'm L. I am hetero-romantic and I love men and I even have a loving s/ but my OCD has made me convinced something is wrong

Hi! I’m sorry you’re going through this. I’m not ace myself, but I’ve heard people of all sexualies experience sexuality OCD, including ace people. Hopefully you find someone here who can relate to that experience; you’re certainly not alone!

Thank you and yes I hope I find someone that can relate. It's just that I feel extremely alone with this theme since it's not common. I tried to ask r/OCD on Reddit but only got invalidation for my sexuality :(

@lypc No there are different subs. The sub that I asked wasn't r/OCD. Also I have been having a hard time not taking reassurance. Could you tell me how to not seek reassurance?

Sexual Orientation OCD affects people all across the spectrum. Gay people worrying they’re straight. Straight people worrying they’re care. Or that they’re trans. The list goes on. What matters isn’t that other people experience, but that you are, and what you’re going to do going forward to manage the disorder.
