Hey, trust me things get better, please don't do anything to harm yourself because things will get better. Try seeing a professional because they can help you understand your mind and how to figure out what's happening and how to fix the issue

i am seeing a therapist and she knows about some of the thought but i don’t go in detail about them but it terrifies me thinking that even seeking help couldn’t do anything for me either

@clambam67 hey sorry to intrude, i hope this is okay; but if you’re able to i would really really try to go into the best detail as possible with your therapist. i also deal with POCD and as awful and uncomfortable as it is, this is the quickest way to helping your OCD and getting comfortable with it. i also believe that you feeling like it won’t work is a form of a compulsion. i could be wrong but i also dealt with that... i have extremely awful thoughts too and i totally understand. i went through the feeling of wanting to leave here. you’re not alone at all. i’m sending you love, you have a purpose here. we all do. one day this will all be okay, we are all gonna get through this. 💙

I am so sorry you are feeling this way. So many ppl feel the way you do everyday. You aren't getting better because ocd worsens with compulsions. Your ocd isn't a monster or a demon, it is a protection mechanism. Your compulsions have taught ur brain that your theme is a real and dangerous concern so your brain keeps saying "hey! Remember this, I wanna keep you safe!" Bc it sees anything involving kids as a threat. The only way ocd can be treated, and it is VERY treatable, is eith exposure and resisting compulsions. It feels so scary, but it is the only way that your brain will learn that your theme isn't dangerous and won't keep playing it on a loop. Treatmwnt is possible for you because ocd attacks what we arent. If you can take this courage into erp and begin doing small exposures with a professional, even through this app, then your ocd will overtime get better. I had ocd for 16 years and I am treated!! Believe me. Its scary, but its just a fake protection mechanism. We can teach our brains that our thoughts aren't dangerous.

@clambam67 Ocd causes intense mood swings. Treat the ocd slowly and surely and ur mood will stabilize! Can u get in touch with a therapist?
