Hey omgcd. I am sorry you are going through this. I want you to read back over this and tell me whether or not it sounds like OCD (because it really does to me). Sometimes, people suffering from soocd will try to attack the stories of others if they feel that the story invalidates their own experience, or talks about a symptom/reality they havenât experienced. It is really just a glorified pissing contest (pardon my language) designed to prove that one soocd sufferer has less proof of their fears than another person. Take a deep breath. You have intellectually reconciled a happiness with your identity in the past. You are aware that OCD gives most of the people in this forum a variety of uncomfortable sensations and existential doubts. Just keep on living life. Maybe this person is completely accurate in their analysis, but do you really need to figure out whether or not that is the case? Doing so will only hurt you more.

Sorry sorry, big words. You came to the conclusion that you are a lesbian. That is fulfilling to you (even if your mind says otherwise).

Interchange OCD w. Mind in this situation. I also want to point out that this level of analyzing somantics is probably your OCD doing you a disservice. You just said it yourself. You do want to be a lesbian (and you are, though you have to live with the possibility that you are not.

yeah i always do that constant need for clarification from what others do so that i know 100% what they mean. and i did that with that other person whom i mentioned and they told me iâm so stupid that i canât understand a basic sentence from them because i must have an âintellectual impairment that makes me think like a child.â which was hurtful because people with disabilities should not be insulted, and my ocd is making me do that and they didnât accept that when i told them it was ocd not mental disability.
