thing that worries me this all started when i was 22 im 37 now i had it under control and only used to get some thoughts about guys and find them attractive and get groinals and some images. Now its just hit me this bad after all this time. Why now ?

Asking why will keep it going. Try not to analyze. I'm in the the same boat. It started at 27 for me and now I'm 38. It was bad at first, then I improved for a few years then it got bad again, then I got it under control but it came back again. The really bad episodes last for months but hopefully this one doesn't last as long.

Oh yeah. I get the cloudiness on my bad days. Those are the days when you need family, compassion, watching something positive and non triggering can help (I watch some Looney Tunes lol), good food and plenty of rest.

No, finding a dude good looking doesn't make you gay. Thats very common. Don't read into everything. Just let it be. What happens when we dwell on a thought or an urge or a groinal or a situation from the past that we reinterpret to be proof is that it high Jack's our minds and then it uses up all of our energy and time and then the next day or a few days later, we're on to a new hocd thought that takes up our mind and energy and the old ones don't matter. It's a cycle bro. And it fucking sucks.

Yup. That's what OCD does. It's trying to protect you by trying to bring up that could be a threat and when you react with fear, it keeps bringing up more and more fearful thoughts.

Don't push too hard with the females bro. It will only feel worse. That's why it happens to me. I would nothing more than to dream about the ladies but I'm pushing too hard. I'm backing way the fuck off for now. At the same time, we gotta not try to fall in love with every woman we see and then feeling like shit when it backfires (I'm definitely guilty of this).

Your best bet is to try not to control your thoughts. I know sometimes the thoughts are unbearable but trying to control the thoughts will only make it worse. Also, trying to do everything that OCD wants you to do gives it power. If OCD makes you not want to look in the mirror, then look in the mirror (by the way, I went through that exact same thing)...

You're analyzing. It takes up too much of your time. Accept your thoughts and then do something else. Call a friend or family and talk about something other than OCD. If you get to play your game again, put earphones on to immerse yourself in the game (or do what I do while I play, put one earphone in your ear from your phone to listen to music or a YouTube video that entertaining or funny). The more you at least occupy yourself while you feel like this then the less you will ruminate.

Well my therapist tells me if I get the thoughts regarding the penis shit, try to use that as exposure and not react to them. Also, she says if I feel the need to watch porn, then do not avoid looking at the screen if a penis is on screen but don't go searching it out as that is a checking compulsion and it can make it worse. Right now I'm just not gonna touch porn because it's not healthy for me right now. Try accepting the thoughts and saying "great thank you". Kind of mock the thoughts. It will still fuck with you but little by little it will lose power.
