Does anyone else’s hocd give you the thought whenever you feel attracted to the opposite sex “if you were a guy that would mean you’re gay.” And for some reason this gives me anxiety. I want to be straight and like guys..what?

there is no permanent cure. our brain is faulty. its chemical imbalance. there is no cure, v have to just identify ocd.. 1/2 the battle is won if v identify the thought as ocd.. other half is now that u know its ocd.. just dont fall for it...dont fall for reassurance etc.. if r in doubt that the thought is ocd or not..then its ocd.

genetics...nothing can b done about it... brain is developing in teenage stage.. & ocd kicks in...it has changed.. u hv to live with it. this is ur challange for life. i use to b a super happy guy...a rockstar... i use to laugh on mental issues etc.. full of confidence.. but ocd kicked in...i remember...it was 2001... then...the horror movie started..i lost family, friends, money, health...everything.. no help.. + I had abusive dad & school.. + no friends or therapy... so i ended up with self injury... i am mentally better...out of all the shit..but lifes all fucked up.. but still u hv to buckle up...n ride till the end...& learn wat u can.. buddism can help..nothing else helped me. I am 31 now. I was 14 when ocd kicked in..had suicidal thoughts.. but i had no help. but these days kids hv lot of help..so... best of luck.

There are many options for help. Please look for what's available to you. Good luck! Stay positive! A therapist once told me that OCD seems to happen to some of the most caring, sensitive and creative people. ?

dont give too much importance to thoughts...mind will throw all kinds of thoughts & emotions at u 24 x 7... filter u mind...dont fall for it if its -ve thought with anxiety.. its not ur prob if the thought does not go away... "its not ur prob, u do ur own thing"

ya it embarrasing..everywhere....if someone is ur true friend they will understand...so things should work out...relax.

Thanks @himz333 I can handle myself but my family is destroying by looking at me... They r in deep depression now... I just hate this hocd... I love my straight character only.... Means it is like 6 months before I was something else n now god has given me punishment.... It's hell... How we can build a healthy relationship with someone.... No one will understand...
