Hey! Thank you sharing this post. You put a big smile on my face. I was struggling a lot with OCD and depression as well. If you are thinking about psylocibin I strongly recommend it (make sure you know the risks such as developing psychosis or schizophrenia if it runs in your family) I had my first medicinal trip yesterday and I can honestly say that I woke up this morning and feel peace. My anxiety was always at it’s worst in the morning but today I was able to get up and feel gratitude for existing. I always wake up before my fiancé and I usually spend at least an hour over analyzing my past and feeling guilty before even being able to open my eyes but not today. Instead I cuddled up next to her and drowned her in love. Then I went on a solo walk around my neighborhood and I was able to appreciate the flowers and plants around me and I had a “wow life is beautiful” moment. I just got back and I want to make us breakfast. I haven’t felt joy or hope in months. I was never present in the moment and I was in a constant state of anxiety and shame. I honestly feel like psylocibin has saved my life and I am going to continue using it once a month to maintain this state of consciousness. I do have to warn you though that my trip was horrifying. I knew I was going to have a “bad” trip before I even took it so I prepared myself mentally for a few weeks first. I told myself to surrender to whatever the mushrooms had in store for me and I did. I’m so glad I did it. I wish you the best and I’m sending positivity and love your way.

Hey! Thank you for this response and the advice!! I’ve been heavily considering psilocybin based off of research and I’m glad you had a positive outcome. I’m not sure what kind of trip I will have in store, however, I think I’d prefer it than what’s currently going on with my Prozac. God, I feel you when it comes to the anxiety in the morning followed by the guilt and shame. But I’m so happy that you were able to feel different today. It gives me hope that I’m making the right choices with my treatment options. Sending you all the positive vibes and love your way and I pray this good outcome continues for you!! <3 :)

@Keep ur chin up :) Thank you so much! I got prescribed SSRIs and I was going to start them until I came across a video on YouTube about these studies and it mentioned that for it to work you had to be off medication. I’ve still gotten my usual intrusive thoughts today but the anxiety that usually comes with it has reduced ALOT. I’m have a deeper understanding of how to deal with them now and I hope it works for you too if you decide to do it. If you do decide to do it, I recommend putting on “healing music” on YouTube, turning off the lights in your room and closing your eyes to be able to really go deep into your subconscious. Whatever is presented to you, go with it and don’t resist. At first I was really scared and my fears were presented to me but once I decided to surrender to the thoughts, everything became blissful. I was laying down having conversations with myself for 3 hours non stop without even opening my eyes. After that I got up and went on a walk and sat under a tree and just looked at the ripples in the water of a lake and saw how ducks interacted and how the trees dance in the wind. I strongly recommend you do this alone but have someone you can call if it get overwhelming to come be with you. The healing power within the shrooms is something completely extraordinary.

@OCDsuxks God this makes me so excited and hopeful. If you don’t mind me asking, what dosage did you take? Also I plan on doing it with a group of friends I trust (I get very anxious when I’m alone lol). But my goal is to try the ketamine to get the ball rolling, and once those treatments are up, try a dose of psilocybin and see the effects lol.

@Keep ur chin up :) I took about 2.5 grams and I weight 130 lbs so I think you should use your weight as a reference point to that. I think that would be an amazing first time but I would recommend to keep the group to a max of 3 people so you can really get to look inward. I’ve never done Ketamine before so I don’t know if it’s similar or not :/
