It feels so real and like i want. It but when i think about it grosses. But then its like your only doing that because of your in denial

@Ihateocd83 That's what makes it soocd. You dont want it but ur mind keeps telling u u do. It's common for soocd to make u feel in denial and like u want it. U know u dont tho.

@Ihateocd83 Those r intrusive thoughts which all of us ocd people are struggling with. U have to realize they're intrusive even if u dont feel like they are because obviously u dont want these thoughts.

@M H Ive been struggling with this for 16 years im 37 now is it possible for it to flare up worse now after all this time ?. 😞

@Ihateocd83 Nah time shouldn't affect it. I've had ocd for 12 years as far as I know. I got hocd badly a while back. I got over it too. I would always ruminate and check and I couldn't do anything until I was convinced. Doing that compulsion made it worse I realized because the more I went over it the more it seemed real. Like the ocd convinces u even more the more u do the compulsion. So I decided to stop checking and stop paying attention and I quickly got over it. I know it sounds scary and it's harder than I made it sound but it's something u just have to do if u want to get better. I recovered in less time than the amount of time I had hocd. So get rid of it! U know its not true so dont let it linger. I'll pray that u r able to pull thru.

@Ihateocd83 My ocd got worse afer all this time too but doesn't mean it cant be stopped. Trust me just try it. Try to resist it. U dont have to live like that anymore. I know how convincing it can be but u have to remind yourself its the ocd not u. Just try to avoid the compulsion little by little. It doesn't have to be that big of a change. U would be surprised how quickly it can go away once u just ignore it. Thank God I got over it. It was affecting almost every little decision I made.

I know it jumps into all my conversations even when im talking to my kids. Could it have got worse because of stress also i stoped taking my medication for 3 months because it was reminding me of why i was taking it because of this. But i think i could feel this coming at the same time 😥

Stress can make it worse. I got worse wen quarantine started. U should just take ur medication because ur reminded u have ocd anyway u know 😂. I totally get how hard it is and it's not like just because I said to avoid the compulsion its gonna become easy for u. I'm encouraging u tho to try it and stop lingering in the thoughts. Everyone on this app can try to reassure u all they want but if u dont try it then ur gonna be stuck in this cycle. Do u do anything to distract ur mind.

@Ihateocd83 I get what u mean. I'm always afraid that I'll think something I dont want to but I'm working on it. When I went to school before quarantine my mind was more at ease but now that I'm just at home it's a bit harder to distract my mind. My dad has been making me run because it helps clear ur head a bit lol. I'm a christian and I keep reminding myself that God knows who I really am because I know how confusing it can get with these thoughts. I nearly felt like breaking up with my bf because of soocd! But I didnt because I knew that it was ocd and it wouldnt be worth it to break up with him over this. So I was determined to get better. U can do it too!

Maybe because ur tired and want to go to sleep lol. Dont worry it'll get better. I know what its like. Everyone with this OCD feels the same way. Try to do something u enjoy such as go for a walk, paint something, etc. And if u get intrusive thoughts dont let them ruin it. You will probly get triggered but the challenge is to avoid checking. For instance if u go out and see a guy and ocd tells u U LIKE THAT GUY. Tell it to be quiet and keep walking. Dont check. Dont ruminate. Just ignore it and move on. Easier said than done but u have to start off somewhere. Start off with the least anxiety causing erp and work it up to the most until ur better. Allow me to share this with u, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10. Dont let ocd win!

I wont thanks. Im watching terminator where there naked at the beggining lol and i had a few thoughts then you actually see arnold's penis i had to go back to check if i liked it. Then it was like im just going back to have another look 🙈😥

I hate it wen ocd does that. A good erp to start with would be to not go back and check while ur watching a movie.
