Are you able to work with an ocd specialist? You’re doing so many compulsions on this app daily and you would be best helped by a professional.

@LADY GAGA I have a therapist and have had 3 therapists in the past but they never felt i was stable enough to do ERP

@missbluesky Speak with your therapist. They can help devise a plan for resisting compulsions. You can resist them.

You’ve got to stop asking the community whether or not it’s OCD, or if people think you’re gay/bi. It’s reassurance seeking and isn’t not helpful for you.

I can feel the frenetic energy from the post. Clearly you are in distress. I’m starting my ERP treatment again and am hoping to get some clarity. What if you go into therapy with the idea that even if it’s not “actually ocd” you’ll get something out of it. Everyone on this app thinks the same way you do, that it’s not real and what not, but didn’t you say before you’ve had other themes? So even if (which I’m not saying it is, I’m saying if your worst fear is true) this theme is true, maybe therapy can help with the other

i’ve had other themes but not at all to the degree that this one causes me distress, which makes a stronger case that this isn’t OCD and I just have severe anxiety.

@missbluesky Some people have lesser and greater degrees of anxiety when it comes to different themes. I know I have.

It should be noted that avoiding therapy wouldn’t prevent your feared outcome from coming true.

Cognitive behavioral therapy and phychoanalytic therapy are very good too
