lol, i’m assuming that you’re referring to a specific moment that triggered the ocd you’re experiencing. i have that too, it’s rough out here.

I checked whether to see I get aroused by lesbian porn. I sort of orgasmed and panicked. I cried like anything repeatedly telling myself I don't want to be bi or gay .

look. i don’t want to give reassurance but it’s SO hard when i understand exactly what you’re talking about - this isn’t reassurance i don’t think - i just feel as though it’s relevant to you and should give you a little more clarity. the largest watch porn category by females is lesbian. statistically, by HEEPS and bounds. straight women DO, frequently watch les porn. the fantasy pasty of your brain can - a lot of the time, be entirely separate from your sexuality - much more so in women. a study was conducted that showed that women have a much more responsive sexual reproductive system than men. their stated sexuality, among participants was never congruent with what they were viewing - women were ALL over the place with their arousal compared to men! so, i hope this wasn’t reassurance because i suffer with the same thing and these facts don’t stop me renouncing. they bring me calm for a while, and then i’ll doubt myself and start the cycle again. tips: don’t avoid anything that you would normally NOT avoid, you’re keeping your ocd stuck don’t treat the images that pop into your head as ground breaking or evidence, let them pass - for it was just a thought. you’re still the person you were before you watched the porn. sending you my best wishes, trust me - things will get better.

@Ellie I remember it started where I dreamt I was having sex with a woman and I used to watch lesbian porn I never doubted my sexuality but after that dream my thoughts began and after that it got worse.

@Anonymous hey look, i’ve also had the odd dream about women. it’s normal stuff, truly. praying no guys with hocd see this, but from the research ive done, it’s more regular in women than men. not to say that their experience isn’t equally as valid as ours. it doesn’t define your sexual orientation. when something enters your brain that is objectively unthreatening - a thought about a woman, what if i’m bi? etc, etc. whatever triggers your anxiety. don’t let it take over, listen to it, acknowledge it - but it is just a thought - there is no certainty that we can reach, the healing happens through accepting the uncertainty of who we are and progressing.

@missbluesky nooo, i don’t know if that’s true. i’m saying that being turned on by stuff that isn’t congruent with an individuals sexual orientation is a trait found much more in women than men, scientifically. although it does occur in men.

And no I understand you don't want to give me reassurance. Still helps to know that people understand me.
