Yes me. I have been scared of having NPD, sociapathy, psychopathy, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. I also did multiple tests to check if the symptoms match me. It's very time-consuming. Maladaptive daydreaming is nothing to be scared of. It's just a coping mechanism to forget about how awful life is. Maladaptive daydreaming could be really helpful because you're probably daydreaming about how you want your life to look like. So you can use it for goal setting just like I do :) But it's important that you know when you're overdoing it. Please watch some yt videos about it. It's very scary and it feels so freaking real. I even accepted I was a narcist and a psychopath for some time. Ofc I'm not, but that's what the thoughts said lol.

Omg that’s so revealing to hear!! I’m in general scared of things like maladaptive daydreaming bc I’m scared I’ll get so obsessed w fantasy that I will want to escape reality so I really try to keep myself grounded in reality. It’s something I value a lot so ig the intrusive thoughts latched onto it. Yes, in goal setting visualization is so important but I saw some tik toks of ppl using it to pretend they’re someone they’re not or somewhere they’re not which scares me idk why. I’ve also been scared that im a narcissist and psychopath too 😖😖

@jasonbozinakis What ADHD medication do you take?

@jasonbozinakis Did you ever try a stimulant? Just curious

@jasonbozinakis Firstly, I was on both Clonidine and Guanfacine (Intuniv). Both are alpha-2 agonists so they are in the same drug class. I had very negative experiences on both. They were incredibly sedating and actually worsened my ongoing depression, which subsequently worsened my impulsive behavior, the very thing we were trying to use them for! So quickly got off those. Now I’m on Vyvanse, my first ever stimulant, and it’s longer acting compared to Ritalin or Adderall which is why we chose it. It’s only been a week but I can’t tell if the effect is positive or negative yet. I’ve noticed both positive effects and negative side effects. But if you want to try a longer acting stimulant, you can give Vyvanse a try. Just be careful because stimulants exacerbate OCD symptoms in many people who have both conditions.

@ And I’m so sorry ugh. I hate how symptoms overlap and our overthinking brains make such a mess out of it. Ocd is really such an unecesaary pain. Hopefully we will all come out of this stronger 🙏🏽🙏🏽

To tie all of what you guys are talking about together, I have actually been diagnosed by different separate psychiatrists with all of those disorders, and I don’t know who’s right! So imagine how confused and conflicted I must be! Lol. Also, I actually AM a narcissist. I’m not proud of it, but I am an addict and addicts are almost stereotypically self-centered people.

That’s annoying I’m sorry! Just rmr u r not confined to any of those diagnosis labels and some ppl overcome these disorders and come out stronger. Also the first step is self awareness to work towards improving something about urself so for the narcissist part maybe that’s smthg u can work towards? I’m not sure exactly how it works

Have you been evaluated by a psychiatrist for these other disorders?

No I just get scared I could have everything that I come across. Like schizophrenia or maladaptive daydreaming. I never used to think like this before I had anxiety

Have you seen a psychiatrist at all? Sorry I’m not trying to be rude just trying to understand your situation. Like did a psychiatrist actually diagnose you with ocd and anxiety?
