I’ve found that my OCD hated when I tried to combat it - whenever I started therapy it would come out in full force. My advice would be to keep on pushing through. There is hope!

I never imagined it could get this bad in the beginning it was more just annoying but I could more easily disprove the thoughts, so I avoided treatment which was a mistake. Now it’s so bad and I’m so convinced and just paralyzed all the time

This disease has stolen my entire identity from me even besides sexuality — I can’t enjoy anything I used to before and I just think about this all day every day

@BRoyTheNatural Stop checking , also every day for an hour face your Intrusive Thoughts. Let them come to you.

@Anonymous I don’t even check voluntarily it’s just automatic whenever I see an attractive guy I freak out and I wish I could only spend an hour but they’re there every second all day

@BRoyTheNatural Yeah so make it a point to do this every morning. Your mind basically needs to check nothing else. It's a way for your mind just to feel certain , that you aren't gay or bisexual. Tell me when these thoughts weren't there you never doubted your sexuality right ?

@BRoyTheNatural Exactly. So then just stop checking. Your brain will give you automatic thoughts which may disturb you alot. But just like I said once a day sit with yourself. Call all those thoughts and sit with them .

@BRoyTheNatural I understand but you are making it worse by resisting them. Resistance means more of those thoughts would plague you .

@BRoyTheNatural Understand the root of those thoughts , stop your compulsions and never stop ERP . You may feel good on somedays but don't get too excited continue with ERP , until you know deep down these thoughts won't bother you anymore

@Anonymous I don’t even do that many compulsions anymore which scares me bc I probably don’t even have ocd which would mean I’m just gay or bi. I just struggle with these thoughts/images that don’t even disgust me anymore bc they’ve been normalized. I don’t even t

@BRoyTheNatural When the need to resist comes up breathe through it . Also try throwing yourself in a project which keeps you busy OCD creeps up on empty minds
