i heard that if you dislike food touching or have a need to eat everything in a specific order or a specific way can be a symptom for sure

My dad eats his food in a specific order and seperately... Im just trying to figure out where my ocd came from because most people have family members who have it ? And im worried 😞

@Ihateocd83 coincidentally, ruminating and the need of having to know where everything came from or checking if you really have something is also a symptom of ocd. As worrying as it can be, being aware is still really important to getting proper help/treatment. It also helps to notice that not everything is your fault

i'm not a therapist so consider this personal input. It's perfectly alright to be confused man, it's perfectly ok. Of course the intensity of the worry and the questioning is not healthy and may require proper treatment and real methods to combat, not being sure is normal, and many people may never truely know about their sexual orientation/gender identity, and of course it's not a bad thing regardless of what someone is. I say this as someone whos Bi, but I understand the fear and pressure can be more severe and judgement from the self and others is difficult to manage. And if you ever feel alone in your experiences you are not, there's a lot of people who think and question the same things, and that's perfectly ok to do so

and i say this as i'm also questioning, i'm (probably) Bi, but even so I'm not sure either! I'm just saying it's normal and common to question and there's a lot of people who do. Now of course getting help/treatment for the compulsions and obsessive cycle is something I reccomend.

So you dont know if your bi ? Are you male or female ?... i just dont want to be gay it doesnt make sense i was girl crazy this hit me at 22 after 1 thought im 37 now and things have got really bad. Im on medication and have had cbt why do i find this so distressing and makes me so upset 😞

eh, some things don't always make perfect sense. People's sexuality can be fluid and it's normal for things to change over time. There's nothing wrong with being gay, and I say this as a dude who isn't rlly sure about things either. The reality or the questioning of your sexuality isn't a bad thing. Of course the severity of the response is unhealthy, but things fluctuating, changing, or questioning in particular is normal. It's also perfectly normal to like more than one gender of people as well, you can like anyone really. It doesn't have to be just one, it can be both, or neither. People are different and things can change. It can be distressing, especially with stigma around liking who you want, but at its core there's nothing wrong with it

i sincerely wish for you to find peace of mind, regardless of what you may be. We may never truely know that part of ourselves either. That's perfectly valid, and normal for a lot of people

@SkyriderShou i'm saying there is a possibility people can be anything, and may never know for sure. I don't know the future and i'm not one to say who you are as a person. But there's nothing repulsing about being straight bi or gay. I'm saying anyone can be anything and can change and question. And that regardless of the state that person feels they are in, it doesn't matter who they like.

i'm just saying it's ok to not know, to have different feelings and have times where you think are sure and times where you don't. Basically, worrying about it just leads to internal turmoil rather than just going with the flow, and maybe therapy or ERP can help ease that anxiety you feel to Need to know. Because truth is, we may never know for sure now or in the future

you Could be straight, you Could be bi, you Could be anything. But it's unhealthy to worry about it this much. You should allow to just live your life peacefully

if it's hard to let go of of course therapy and methods can ease the anxiety of worrying too much about it because a healthy person shouldn't worry so much to this extent

for me. i don't worry too much about it. I don't know who i am for sure, but that's alright because I can be myself rather than question it. the issue Seems to be the truth. But the real issue is worrying so scrupulously about it.

which is where OCD comes in. It's that obsessive worrying which may need therapy treatment to help ease. It's not the truth. it's the anxiety about it

@SkyriderShou you probably did research on it already so this is not an action to educate you, but I found some articles if you ever want to read up on it, and your options! Again i am not a therapist but I of course want to help people
