Well. It's not reassurance to tell you that 1 being in denial isn't homophobia.(and that's "worst case") 2 having hocd isn't homophobia. You are struggling. Remember that 2

i think in denial is rooted from homophobia (mostly internalized homophobia)

@seokggukify Nah it's not. Ask Any licensed ocd specialist and they'll tell you that

@Exoduslevi why would i ask an ocd specialist though? they are not in denial or have experienced being in that state plus i have heard stories from people who were in denial that it was because of internalized homophobia and it is true, though i know i mostly not have internalised homophobia neither am i homophobic, both things are very different but from what i know and learned from other people it's mostly bc of internalized homophobia which makes sense

Hey just calm down. I totally understand how you feel, sometimes I really feel like im gay. At one point I even felt like I really wanted to be gay and I just wanted to accept the fact that I was gay but I'm not lol Its just hocd making you think that. I feel like im in denial a lot as well but it's not true, hocd will just do everything to make you think you are what you fear. I was doing research and I heard that anxiety will make scenarios for everything even if they're not true, because it needs to make 100% sure you're okay (in this case straight). So if for some reason you don't feel like you're straight anymore, your mind will now see that and make worst case assumptions and say "Oh this means I was in denial my whole life and now my body is starting to accept the fact that I'm gay" and you will get so much more anxiety lol. It's just the way anxiety works. When you're under anxiety it narrows your vision, it's the "fight or flight" mode and it is just doing it to keep you safe because it senses a threat (in this case becoming gay) and if you think about it, when someone is under anxiety in a life or death situation they start to see everything as something negative. For example if you hear gunshots or something very close by and people screaming, you will get anxiety and get into fight or flight mode and your mind will want to protect itself so it sees everything as a threat, and you can see an innocent old person walking by and your mind will see him as a threat (even if he's not) and your mind will start to assume "Oh crap it might be a guy acting like he's normal but he has a gun hidden in his pocket and he's going to kill me!" Lol but yeah bro just chill. You've always been straight and you still are, it's just hocd. And you're probably going to start saying "maybe I'm changing" but just remember all these thoughts are your anxiety. Take cold ass showers and and use relaxing methods to get out of fight or flight mode and you will start to think more clear. It usually helps me a little on stopping all the worst case scenario what ifs.
