I really hate this you know, I can’t live my life like this. I will try. Just I can’t stop thinking about it and I feel it’s impossible to ignore. I’m trying. I’m even back on medication because of this and I didn’t want to because of the so many overdoses :{

@Aisha372828 are you currently seeing a therapist? unfortunately the thoughts are impossible to ignore, but you need to learn how to respond to those thoughts without becoming anxious about it - like telling yourself “maybe I will, maybe I won’t, i’m not going to argue with it right now”

@s I’m talking to a therapist yeah but I feel like nothing is helping me. My mental illness has gone so bad and because of so many overdoses they stopped my medication and after a few months the thoughts have started to come back. I’m back on medication. They have referred me to other places but I’m waiting for the response. It’s really taking ages. I just don’t know what to do. I’m really scared you know. Getting weird thoughts about how I can’t watch stuff it bothers me, I can’t be around a lot of people. I hate this I really do.

@s That’s my main issue I don’t know how to respond to these thoughts. It’s too much I feel like giving up

@Aisha372828 have you done any mindfulness strategies? maybe try exposing yourself to colouring in, but listen to a mindfulness script while you colour in, this will desensitise looking at colours for you.

@s I really want to colour but then I get weird thoughts about how I can’t see colours it bothers me like what the hell? If you get me. I really hate this

@Aisha372828 try it out, it might help, or you could do it incrementally by starting off easier. have you heard of blind drawing? it’s a sketching technique where you only look at the object in front of you and then once you’ve completed the drawing, then you can look at it. then, when that becomes less anxiety inducing, move on to listening to mindfulness scripts while colouring in.
