It always surprises me when I read posts on here and relate to them so much, when in the moment I thought I was the only one and must be crazy. When I was formally diagnosed it was so empowering. I've experienced all but one of these different examples throughout the years. I'm sure many others on this app can say the same.

You are not alone. NOCD therapy is more of a treatment plan to target issues intensely. I that i think it's best people get another therapist too coincidently. Another therapist where you can go in and talk about your past or your day and develop a longer term bond to bring you some relief and normalcy and compassion to your issues. Go from therapist to therapist until you find one that makes you feel heard on the first session. Mine made me laugh in the first session and that's how I knew. Been seeing them for 2 years now and life has improved. I'm not sure how you feel about meds but I find it is a good thing during these hard transition years. Our brains are a science.

I relate to this so much. The best thing you can do is speak to an OCD specialist. Talking therapies/counsellors are good but we don’t need someone else to analyse our thoughts - we’re pretty good at that on our own! Just know that you aren’t alone and I’m so sorry you are suffering xxx
