So im in a relationship with my gf for 8 years now and its bad literally there seems to be no love im stressed out all the time i was before my breakdown again and we have no sex life... would this trigger my hocd to be worse and evolve ? 😞

Have you started therapy? Its very common to struggle with loss of attraction because you are spending so much time worrying about this. I mean you said yourself that you are stressed out all the time, i think it would only make sense for that to have some impact on your life and relationship however this isnt proof that the thoughts are true, it just shows how awful ocd can be and that you really care about your relationship. I think your attraction etc will come back once you stop reacting to the thoughts (easier said than done i know) but gradually you will get back to how you used to be, its just difficult to see when you are struggling. Wish i could do more to help.. just know that you are definitely not alone in this at all ❤️

Bro, you know me so you know I get stressed out every single day about loss of attraction. It's become one of my biggest fears. Try to not let it get to you. I really don't want it to get as bad with you as it is with me currently.

@Ihateocd83 I know that feeling and while I cant give you tips on that kind of ERP, the only thing I can tell you is to accept the thoughts as being in your head. And make fun of them if you can. Do not go over the thoughts over n over in your head to try and right a wrong. That's a form of checking and reassurance, not to mention ruminating.

Yeah ok bro. The thoughts and feelings still bother. But I've been doing alot of exposures. Spending a lot of time in the gym. You getting it too??? First, dont try to find every girl attractive. You're gonna lose that battle. Next, I do a loop tape that I listen to when I'm out in public. Its basically a looping recording talking about not being turned on by chicks. Its supposed to provoke a bit of a trigger and you just accept the thoughts and anxiety.

Yes that is the goal. The problem is that my mind automatically reassures itself. I can acknowledge the good looking dude or whatever but at the end of the day, I want chicks. So I'm practicing letting things about that trigger me. The loss of attraction though is rough as hell.

Last summer I was like that. Hell, this morning I was dreaming I was doing stuff to a chick (half asleep) and the idea (not an image but the idea) or a dude's bits popped in my head. Had a bad reaction to it as I was dreaming about the chick then this but I got up, went to go lay down at another part of the house and I let it slide. Only thing we can do. Same with the loss of attraction. If you cant feel it, say fuck it, so what...

I know exactly what you mean. It's like it's taken all the things I love about chicks and turned them against me. Conversely, its nightmarish opposite, blokes, gets brought up as if that is something I wanna think about.

But, I've noticed that I'm being a little more fearless. Daring the thoughts and exposures to trigger me, spending more time in the gym. Being more social. Noticing that the things that trigger me are all a part of this crap and I dont have to pay attention.

I know mate but we will get there slowly. This is temporary. Think how much you used to love women 👍. Im watching austin powers and ive always loved liz hurley and i cant feel much at all its almost frustrating but im trying not to let it bother me 😞

Yeah but the moment you picture her naked in bed, even for a second, your mind and body are like "oh yeah!" That's the fucked up thing about thoughts and feelings with this. They feel real in the moment, but the later you wonder "why did I even think that. It doesn't make sense." Same with not feeling. It's like your numb to her now, but later it all comes flooding back.

Same. Last night I was in the gym (gym is 24 hours again), and there's barely anyone there to trigger (there was an Asian girl with a really cute body) but towards the end of the gym I started thinking too much and I was even triggered after taking a pic of myself (I'm getting my muscles back). I was stressed after that but worked on my computer and went to sleep. I dreamt of going down on a chick 😁, but then my mind had to ruin that and as I woke up, I was back to obsessing about the muscle shit. I'm ok-ish right now but the up n down rollercoaster is too scary to bare...

I dont want to reassure you. I know what it is to NEED to ask that question. For instance, recently I freaked out about something and I got on here asking if that's even a thing in OCD. Someone reassured me and I was fine about it for like a minute. Do this as an exercise, if you feel the need to ask "is this OCD?" or "is this because of OCD?" then just say "fuck it, I don't need an answer." Say it like you're above the answer.

No. Triggered by thoughts all day yesterday, then got really triggered by that Aquaman pic while doing exposures. Sat with the anxiety but by the end of the night I broke down crying. Just woke up and I have that fucked up "you already turned, fuck you" feeling. I'm stuck in a loop. It goes in a circle, the things that bother or trigger me. Don't know what to do half the time...
