(TW POCD) Ok so recently I've been worried about things I found attractive. This might be weird but sometimes I find people attractive (either in art or irl) and later find out the character/person is underage and it makes me stressed tf out. I think "why did I find this attractive, only pedos do that" and other things like that. I haven't been diagnosed with POCD which is even more scary. I'm 17 now and I'm afraid when I turn 18 its going to get so much worse since i'll be an adult. I just feel like I'm the only one who goes through this exact type of thing and I feel so disgusted in myself to the point where I check for peoples ages all the time. I've always been against pedophiles so this is very harming to me. I've been dealing with POCD themes for a while but this new trigger is getting to me bad.

I go through this too and what's worse is I'm 22! But people from tiktok sometimes look my age or at least 18-19 and I get so surprised they're minors. So it feels wrong. Plus even if I know a person can be a minor, I can still acknowldge they look good or they're attractive (like wow nice face? does it make sense? or nice genes i guess) or how they'll grow up and look good and it makes the OCD attack me and say oh you like minors or oh you think they're attractive? does that mean you're attracted to them? and its so hard its like me acknowledging my brother looks good, i dont like him in ANY way but i can acknowledge when a person looks nice :(( its so hard sometimes

Thank you so much for this response! I go through the same! Like I see a cute guy on tiktok and it turns out he's a year younger (even if the person is a year younger my brain yells pedophile). Like its so infuriating

Just to preference: The people I found attractive looked either my age or over 18
