Ground yourself and breathe Try this exercise: Q1: Ask yourself how you're feeling A1: I am feeling distressed because I'm having thoughts that don't match my desires Q2: why am I having these thoughts? A2: my brain is programmed to consider every possible potential partner because we are animals too and it takes very little for my brain to have this reaction and it has nothing to do with my preferences Q3: Does that mean my thoughts are true or have any power over me? A3: No. I am not my thoughts and i will now take a deep breath and let this thought linger. i will not fight it because it is not here to hurt me

But what if these are my resires and im just not accepting them and repressing them?? It scares me so much to do anything Cause them my mind gives me tthoughts that i dont want boys and i find them gross and then the feelings that normally come from ocd influence it, i hate it so much:( Anything gives me anxiety

@hate_ocd.123 Try to think rationally. Have you ever actually felt attraction towards a girl? Have you ever imagined one in a sexual matter on purpose? I'll tell you the difference between ocd and denial Gay people LIKE people of the opposite sex. They enjoy these kinds of thoughts. The only concern that they might have is how other people react. The concern people with ocd have is only about themselves. You freak out because the thoughts don't match with what you want. You would not freak out because of the thought itself if you were actually gay.

@honeyschweety I dont think i have....i know i dont want to be with a woman or desire it. And no, i dont enjoy the thoughts, i get scared of them. Before i never thought of girls that way intentionally...once i hit puberty i never did, nor as a kid. I only remember truly having crushes on boys and calling them cute and saying we were gonna get married (unless i had a crush on a girl and didnt recognize it but i never said those things to a girl so dont think i did) This has just made me doubt everything:(

@honeyschweety Yeah i dont enjoy these thoughts my face heats up and my heart drops and feels like my head is gonna explode as well as my heart and i just hate it so casual response to an intrusive thought/ signs of anxiety But im still so scared i enjoy them

@hate_ocd.123 You need to realise that you can't control your thoughts and they don't actually matter at all. How many times have you had stupid thoughts before? Like when you think "Ugh it would be better for everyone if I just quit my job" Does that mean you want to quit your job? No. It's just an association, nothing more

@hate_ocd.123 You need to accept that the thoughts are there, because trying to ignore them will only make things worse

@hate_ocd.123 I can tell you that literally EVERYONE has these thoughts but people who don't have ocd simply ignore them and forget about them
