A lot of people with this theme has “urges” to come out, it’s a kind of intrusive thought/ compulsion thing, it’s really normal :)

Some girl the other day said my face looks gay. And it freaked me out I started to cry. Because I had been thinking the same thing 😔

@Ihateocd83 Honestly people make silly comments like that all the time, it doesn’t mean anything. I once had a girl tell me “I’d make a great lesbian”, and I literally made my mum pick me up from school to take me home because I was so freaked out. Even tho it plays on my mind still sometimes, I’ve come to realise it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks!

Coming out wont help, I'm speaking from experience, OCD will never be happy no matter what you do that's why you have to fight it by saying maybe I am gay? Or maybe I'm not, I dont know right now and I'm okay with uncertainty. I know it feels horrendous at first but it will get better the more you do it trust me. You have to take away the power from OCD. You mentioned you want to be with a man, can I ask why? If it wouldnt make you happy, is there another reason you want to be with a man or do you think it could be OCD just trying to trick you.

@Ihateocd83 That's OCD then, if being with a man grosses you out you aren't gay, of course OCD will try to convince you otherwise.

@Tanaya I don't know if I'm disgusted sometimes it feels like I'm not really and I think I must be in denial. Some girl the other day said my face looks gay the other day 😔

@Ihateocd83 Are you getting therapy for this, I'm aware I've spoke to you before about this issue and the fact your still ruminating on that comment is horrendous for you. You cant look gay, you can look feminine. You dont have to have a strong feeling of disgust all the time. I have HOCD myself and sometimes when I think about being with women I dont feel disgusted but I know in reality if it came down to it it wouldnt be something I'd like to do whereas my attraction to men is very natural, I dont have to wonder if im attracted to men or not I just know I am and in a strange way that helps me know I'm not a lesbian because I have to ruminate on the matter so much and find a woman I find really attractive and even then I wouldnt want to have sex with her.

@Ihateocd83 Let me ask you something also, I'm assuming you're straight, I'm unaware of your age or experience but do you have to question whether or not your attracted to girls/women? Does it feel right for you to be with a woman? Gay men dont feel like, in fact they'd feel the opposite.

@Tanaya My ocd makes me think that I would. I have really bad loss of attraction too women and genitals... but I feel like it's coming back a little.
