What I can tell you is the side effects of a vaccine are WAY better than getting covid. Not everyone gets side effects and if you do, it just means your immune system is doing what it’s supposed to and making antibodies against covid! They’ll watch you for 15 or 30 minutes, you’ll be safe and in good hands!

Yep! It's literally either covid or the vaccine, and I'm going with the vaccine becuase im convinced covid will kill me too 😅

I grew up with parents that aren’t necessarily anti-vaxx (they got the covid vaccine and always wear their masks) but they preferred to do everything as “natural” as possible and didn’t want me to get the vaccines that weren’t 100% necessary, or go to the doctors much. So I can’t even tell you how long it’s been since I’ve been vaccinated, but of course I wanted to get my covid vaccines. So going in, I was terrified I’d go into anaphylaxis because I didn’t know if I was allergic to anything in the shot since I haven’t had many prior vaccines. And after I got my first one I kept thinking “oh no this is it. It’s in now. It can’t be reversed.” And that thought freaked me out so much. However, I had no side effects after my first one other than a sore arm. Just got my second so we’ll see how I feel tomorrow lol I’ve heard it’s not too great. That being said, I completely understand the uneasiness that comes with the vaccine. But, trust science! We need to all do it to keep each other safe and that’s the most important part. This vaccine has been nearly 20 years in the making, it is safe. I hope you this helps ease your anxiety some. ❤️

Omg yes the anaphylaxis is what's scaring me as well! That's exactly what it is for me! But thank you so much for your response. I'm 100% for vaccines, but it's been almost 10 years since I've had to get a needle of any kind, so it's almost like I forget lol.

@Anon Update I got my second one 2 hours ago and feel a little bit light headed and shaky. The nurse that did it told me the second one dehydrates you a little bit so I’m sure this feeling is totally normal. Just make sure to stay hydrated the day before your shot and for a couple days after :)

I’ve had covid and got my first moderna shot two weeks ago. I’m due for my second one. The first one wasn’t as bad as having covid but it activated some of my long haul symptoms. I’m nervous about the second one for that reason. But I’ll do it all over again if it means I never have to have covid again. Having covid has made me have real unexplainable stuff happen to me I had to got to a bunch of specialists to get it sorted it and I was otherwise fine before having it. All I had was ocd If that counts as something

Oh yeah didn’t magnets start sticking to people who took the vaccine? I’m suspicious of the thing, people have died in the chair they took it in without any underlying conditions... personally I’d not, but that’s just me.

...no. Magnets did not start sticking to people. What is your source for this information? There is so much misinformation regarding the vaccine and people are spreading blatant lies. It is safe, and keeping people from spreading this deadly disease.

Nope. No magnets are sticking to people! Also haven’t heard of a single person dying in the chair while getting it. Very concerned about your info source.

@Where’sMySerotonin🦋 That’s why I phrased the question that way, I didn’t actually know or not. Just had heard that from a person

@Anonymous I do understand being worried about the vaccine, honestly. However, I think we need to do it to achieve herd immunity. And the vaccine itself isn’t new. Despite it’s emergency use approval by the FDA and the fact that it’s only been around for a little over a year, it’s been years in the making. Scientists had learned about coronaviruses from the days of SARS and MERS. They just used what they had already developed for the SARS vaccine and tweaked it to prevent against covid. I know it seems scary, but we need to trust science. I hope this gives you a little bit of insight and eases your concern about getting it.

I am wanting to go to therapy to hopefully lower my OCD symptoms but I am terrified to tell anyone else, like a therapist, about my intrusive thoughts. Has anyone else had this experience and if so how did you get over it?

Hi everyone, I’m 23 and have been on Zoloft since I was 16. For the past couple months I’ve been having panic attacks more and I’m sick of feeling like a zombie everyday. My boyfriend said I’m very sad and unhappy then when I first met him 2 years ago…. He thinks it’s the medicine. Throughout the years I have upped and lowered my medication, but now, I feel as though it’s not helping. Either it was too much where I didn’t feel emotions at all like very scary stuff or it wasn’t enough to help me. I was given 5mg of Lexapro to try…. I’m scared to take it. All I know is how Zoloft is. I don’t want to go crazy on it, be allergic to it, etc. I feel like I’m going to trip myself out when I take it and not actually feel the difference. I could really use some positive feedback I really just want to be a normal human😭

I'm anxious about looking for/starting therapy even though I know it'll be worth it. I'd love to hear any advice/experiences anyone is comfortable sharing!
