Easier said than done, but I appreciate this response a lot. Once the move is done I need to see if I can get myself back on track. I got an apartment that will hopefully be easier to manage (in unit laundry, dumpster for garbage, private entrance, etc.). Thank you 😊

I can relate to your thoughts so much. I also have contamination ocd and my thoughts do the same thing. Therefore I don't really know how to help because I struggle with the same thoughts a lot right now. But I can tell you that you're actually fine and that's only what ocd makes you think. And also, all the other people touch other things all the time without even thinking about it. And I there is no contamination that would harm anybody. For me it sometimes help to go outside, to the nature or practice mindfulness.

It's not about causing harm, it's about feeling dirty. My germ fears are not really any worse than anyone else (I'm a microbiologist). I have strong obsessions about feeling dirty. I would go for a hike, but I work until 10:30pm. Being outdoors usually helps take my mind off of things for a while.

@anonymous 88888888 Yes I understand. My fear is also about feeling dirty and not germs. Sorry you're struggling right now. I believe you are strong enough to handle this step by step!
