Hi there! Going through the other comments and conversations in this app might help you. A lot of people are feeling the same way. You are not alone. Have confidence that you will be able to move past this. Meditation, like the Headspace App, has also helped me with OCD. Perhaps this might be of help. Identifying thoughts as just thoughts may help. Once again, going through the help and conversations on this app may help you as well. You will overcome this. You gotta start small with exposures. Like really small. If you panicked, it’s because you moved up too quickly. Also, there are totally OCD specialists abroad who do OCD therapy via video call. Check out episodes 99 and 162 of the OCD Stories podcast. (But is you find them comforting, don’t RE-listen to them — that’s reassurance seeking).

Do you have to take medication when you have hocd I don’t want my body to be dependent on them ...

That is your choice, my friend. I do not take medication and am having success with ERP without it. For other people it is beneficial. But ultimately you get to decide the course of your own treatment
