Actually the best thing you can do is to NOT say or do anything against the thoughts. My therapist tells me to see those thoughts and know that they are there, but I should also know, that thoughts don’t really mean anything. „Sit with uncertainty“ is the best thing you can do. Because if we are whatever we are obsessing about or if we aren’t it shouldn’t matter to us. When I started practicing it I told myself „I don’t know, I don’t need to know and I’ll never know, but thats fine because it’s out of my control anyways. I accept the uncertainty“ It takes a lot of practice but it’ll get better one day!

Thank you for this! It can be hard to not say anything but I’m finding that the longer I go without saying anything, the better I feel. 😊
