Contamination ocd with mold.. found some white spots inside a helmet. Now I think everything I touched after that is contaminated with spores. Me and my family might get respiratory diseases and die. Is the ERP to just try to accept that this could happen?

I have contamination OCD as well and mold is a massive trigger. For me the ERP would be maybe everything is contaminated and my family will get a respiratory disease and die. Maybe not..but the real challenge would be doing no compulsions to decontaminate. 

Thank you very much for the response. I think where I get stuck is what is a “reasonable level” of concern/cleaning and when does it tip the scales into OCD

@ocdstruggler47 I think reasonable would be tossing the helmet if someone without OCD agrees it looks like mold
