That is very normal and very effective! You should keep doing that and you’ll start to not even have the thought anymore! I’m proud of you and I know you can get through this!
@Charlene I’ve suffered from almost ever ocd theme. They’ve all tried to bother me at some point and when I get over one, another likes to make it’s way into my brain. As for if I’ve recovered , kind of. Since being on this app, my ocd as been bothering me a lot less and I’ve been feeling a lot better!

It’s actually the most healthy way to get though the anxiety of it all. Even when I learn that a man is sexually attractive in my eyes I said the term “maybe maybe not” it lowers the anxiety levels a lot even if the theme is still there.
It’s 100% normal that shows growth and ownership over your ocd. You have to be consistent with it though and stay on top of it and eventually the intrusive thoughts get less and less
