"Right away" might be a good place to start! OCD often makes us want to do things urgently - it convinces us that there's a certain problem to solve and that we have to fix it NOW/RIGHT AWAY ... or else something bad will happen - like we will be responsible or that we will feel anxious forever until we figure it out and ritualize. Both of these things are not necessarily true and are just tricks the OCD plays in order to try to keep you safe - even though that does not work in the long run. Try to maybe postpone these rituals a bit or try not do do everything that your OCD wants you to do. Finding ways to fluster the OCDs feathers can be helpful. :)
