I wish I knew the answer too.
So its denial ?😭
@raj123 You both feel anxious because you’re putting too much pressure on yourselves. Your ocd is trying to make you freak out and make you think you’re somebody you’re not. And that makes you panic and try to deny them as much as possible. But, that will only make it worse. All you need to do is breath, relax, accept the uncertainty your thoughts give you, and let them go without questioning them. It’s all an ocd lie and you are not in denial whatsoever!
I was reading an article and I thought “I’m pansexual” and I felt really calm which made my brain freak out, I’m straight also. The pansexual thought is new to me and if I don’t freak out over it I feel like I’m accepting it.
I know how you feel. But that, in fact, is exactly what you should do. Accept the thought and you’ll feel better! But in no way is it because it’s real. It’s because by “accepting it” your ocd sees that it can’t bother you anymore and you feel it leave your body. Acceptance is kind of like a barrier that keeps the ocd out. But again, accepting the thought DOES NOT mean it’s real. It’s only a way to make you feel better!
